My background
My name is Veronica, and I live in North Zealand. I am married and a mother of two wonderful children. I have Danish and Greek roots and have lived and studied in both Denmark and Greece.
Throughout my life, I have been fascinated by the inner world of humans. My quest to understand why people think, feel, and act as they do has taken me far and wide, within psychology, sociology, and cultural studies. There are no clear answers here. The only thing that is clear is that humans have a fundamental need for love and closeness, and that these can only be fulfilled through relationships. Our inner selves are shaped by and in interaction with those closest to us. Therefore, I have chosen to specialize in the part of the therapeutic field that deals with our most central relationship in adult life, namely the couple relationship.
My goal with couples therapy
Today, romantic relationships are challenged as most of us carry the dream of finding "the perfect partner". Many relationships do not live up to the incredibly high standards we set for each other as partners, leading to more and more people living alone. It is scientifically proven that people in secure relationships are not only happier but also healthier. Personally, I believe that many more people can build security and joy in their relationships by daring to look past their demands and expectations and see themselves and their partners for who they truly are.
